Solo Singing

Solo is mainly used to refer to a piece or song sung by a single performer; unlike the choir, which is a piece or song delivered by many performers in a collective whole.

Solo includes all the genres of classical song performance (Lied, Oratorio, Opera, Operetta).

The study of the solo is recognised by the State and affords its students a Certificate and Diploma. Duration of tuition is 8 years for the Certificate and the Diploma or 10 years for the Diploma, if a Certificate is previously obtained.

The classes, specifically, are as follows:
  • Elementary (1 year)
  • Lower (2 years)
  • Intermediate (2 years)
  • Advanced (3 years for the Certificate and 4 for the Diploma)
The student may directly obtain a Diploma in the fourth year of the Advanced Class or opt for the Certificate first in the third year of the Advanced class and a Diploma two years later.
